LAKEVIEW VILLAGE | Community Event

Creative Direction : Joy Broadbent (Broadbent Sisters)

In a collaborative effort between the Broadbent Sisters and the Lakeview community, a large-scale painting project unfolded. They established a meditative space and workshop, inviting participants to reconnect with their bodies and contemplate the flowing essence of Lake Ontario, where Lakeview Village resides. Employing figurative painting techniques and an array of blue hues, alongside art tarot readings, they worked alongside the attendees in the creative process. The culmination of all of their efforts resulted in a monumental painting depicting a flowing river, to be hung in the main hub of the Lakeview community.
